The stunning petrified wood pieces are born from explosive volcanoes, active 5 -15 million years ago in Central Java. Surrounding forests were uprooted and covered with burning volcanic ash, the trees and even their cells preserved in these trays. Working with local artisans on government approved mining sites, these organic pieces are incredibly special. No two items will be exactly the same; we believe therein lies the beauty.
